Annarita Bianco is a designer, contemporary jewellery maker and researcher based in Italy. Through Merıstėma Lab, she develops a practice that combines traditional craftsmanship with technological experimentation, moving between analogue and digital processes. Her work explores the relationships among body, matter, technology, and ecological systems, positioning jewellery as a critical and sensory medium for questioning contemporary social and environmental issues. She holds a PhD in Design for Made in Italy from the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, where her research investigated how contemporary jewellery and wearables can foster ecological awareness, encourage engagement in ecological activism, and support interspecies care practices.
