Cristina Filipe (Lisbon, 1965) is a curator, researcher and writer specialising in contemporary jewellery. She holds a PhD in Heritage Studies from the School of Arts of the UCP. She is currently a researcher at CITAR – Research Center for Science and Technology of the Arts at the same university.   She is the author and editor of several books and essays on contemporary jewellery, including Contemporary Jewellery in Portugal: From the 1960s Avant-Garde to the Early 21st Century (2019), published with the support of the Susan Beech Mid-Career Artist Grant from AJF (US, 2017). As a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the MAD (NY) she will develop research on contemporary jewellery, curatorial practices (2027).
